The Community Action Standards of Excellence
are a compilation of thirty-four of the very best
Community Action Agency practices that help answer
the question --
What does an excellent Community Action Agency look
like? The thirty-four standards are
divided into seven categories of excellence and are
a focal point of the Partnership’s technical
assistance efforts. We link our learning sessions
with the Standards to ensure that each and every
workshop and training intensive is a valuable step
on the road to excellence.
Another step we have taken is the creation of
category guides demonstrating how to achieve each
standard grouped within that category. The first two
available guides are
Organizational
Leadership (Category 1) and
Customer Focus
(Category 3). Over the next few years, we will
develop guides for the other five categories
(Strategic Planning, Measurement Management, Human
Resources, Organizational Process Management, and
Organizational Results).
