Chicago!

2008 Annual Convention
August 26 - 29, 2008
Chicago Marriott Magnificent Mile
Chicago, Illinois

Following on the well received sessions during last year’s convention and the successful 2008 Winter Conference, we will continue to expand and refine planning for the 2008 Annual Convention, linking our educational sessions with the Standards of Excellence to make sure each and every workshop and training intensive is a valuable step on the road to excellence.  We guarantee a splendid educational and networking experience, so please join us in Chicago!

Chicago

As one of the world's great cities, Chicago provides wonderful cultural and leisure attractions. Chicago in the summer is a sight to behold -- the parks are lush, Lake Michigan glimmers in the sun, and the streets bustle with visitors and locals who survived another tough winter.

From the incredible architecture to the famed Museum Campus, minutes from the Chicago Marriott, there is never a shortage of things to do and see, and hear -- from blues to jazz. From the world renowned Chicago Symphony Orchestra to the hottest Blues clubs, Chicago is alive with music every night of the year.

The Beautiful Marriott Magnificent Mile

All Convention activities will take place at the completely renovated Marriott Magnificent Mile Hotel in the heart of beautiful North Michigan Avenue.  North Michigan Avenue -- The Magnificent Mile -- is one of the grand boulevards of the world with nearly 500 shops along an eight-block stretch.   We have secured an extremely low rate for summer in Chicago, especially for Community Action Partnership registrants of only $179 for a single or double room.  Please click here to register online.

Credit cards will be charged for one night’s stay for each room reservation.  Please make reservations only for the number of rooms you actually need. We have booked almost the entire hotel, so you can always book additional rooms as needed, at least until the cut-off date of July 31.  This will save you the expense of canceling unneeded rooms as well as help Community Action Partnership from getting an accurate assessment of the actual attendance level at the Convention.  This accuracy is important in planning and budgeting for the Convention events such as our Reception and Gala Dinner.
