Publications Foreword to: CAA Executives’ Handbook The Community Action Partnership is pleased to offer to the Community Action Network this CAA Executives’ Handbook, a new resource based on some of the most useful manuals the Partnership has published. This single handbook includes material from most of the Partnership’s technical assistance manuals that have been published to date. However, we will publish additional material — either as a supplement to this volume or as another volume — as the need arises and resources permit. Two recent noteworthy commemorations — the 35th anniversary celebration of Community Action and the millennium — have reminded many of us that we will soon be passing the torch to a new generation of executives. Many of these executives will be new to Community Action. We have tried to consolidate our technical assistance material into a useful, practical handbook that can be passed on to that new generation. In addition to using this volume to address any number of situations that may arise in your organization, it will prove to be an invaluable reference piece for those who are preparing for the Certified Community Action Professional program.
